A catalogue by Esen Studios
Alpha Film is a new catalog from Esen Studios dedicated to documentaries and short films produced by emerging talents.
Managed by the same expert team of Esen Studios, the Alpha Film catalogue focuses its editorial project on the distribution of works in national and international festivals and reviews.
Esen Studios was founded in 2017 and quickly established itself as one of the most accredited short film distribution companies in Italy. The first short film distributed, “Her world” (Nel suo mondo) by Cristian Scardigno, was selected in over 30 international festivals, including the Tirana International Film Festival, an Oscar qualifying film festival.
Furthermore, “As the first time” (Come la prima volta, 2018) by Emanuela Mascherini is one of the most awarded Italian shorts of the season, with over 20 awards received and about 40 selections, including one for the Nastri d’Argento and the presence in the short-list of David di Donatello.
Furthermore, the documentary “Slowly” (lentamente) by Cristian Scardigno also achieves great success: it is selected at the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival, valid for the qualification for the 2021 Oscars in the short film documentary category.
Additionally, among the films by young Italian talents, the short “My border, my forest” (Il confine è un bosco) by Giorgio Milocco is in the official selection of the L.A. Shorts International Film Festival – an Oscar qualifying festival – and the Drama International Short Film Festival, an EFA – European Film Awards – qualifying festival.
