Director's statement

I was rescued from the street. Twenty years of heavy drug use ruined my health – I am now disabled and can only walk with crutches. Over that time, I frequented jails and hospitals, countless times found myself on the verge of death, and finally managed to save my life. I started to see the world in different colours and became interested in the visual arts. The dream of making a hybrid fiction film inspired by homeless people’s lives and with actors who are not professionals was born. To make it happen, I first had to recover from addiction, and homelessness, and become a functioning member of society again. The road I chose is not an easy one, but the memories of the tough life I lived before motivate me to succeed. I believe that this authentic drama will inspire people to change for the better.
