Birthmarked is a very personal film for me. I have invested my heart and soul in its creation. This movie is a tribute to my childhood relationship with my sister. At that time, a horizon of elusive unknowns surrounded me, because the newly matured world of my sister, who was 4 years older than me, was very different from my childhood world, and the more I tried to understand her world, the less successful I was. This inability to understand made me more fascinated. And every film I make is a tribute to every experience in life that has fascinated me and touched my emotions at the deepest levels.
